If you have domain name but you're not yet ready to host a website, or if you want to point your domain at another website or hosting space elsewhere, then you'll need one of our domain tools packages.
Domain Parking
If you just want to register a domain name to reserve it for future use, then order our Domain Parking package. This will park your domain and display a page of links to sites relevant to the subject of your domain name. This helps to get your domain listed in the search engines ready for when you launch your site.
Web Redirection
If you have more than one domain, but just one website, you can tie them together using our Web Redirection packages. For example you could have your main site at a .co.uk domain, but also register the .com equivalent and have it redirect to the .co.uk.
Web Redirection is especially useful if your domain name is difficult to spell. You can register similar domains and point them to your main domain. If visitors mis-spell your domain they will still arrive at your site.
Transparent Web Redirection
If you already have a site hosted elsewhere you can use our Transparent Web Redirection service to connect it to your domain name. Visitors to your site will see your domain name in the address bar of their web browser, but the pages will be served from your existing web host.
DNS Management
If you prefer to manage your own DNS settings to point your domain to your own web or mail server, then you can order our DNS Management package. This allows you to alter the DNS records in your zone file through your domain control panel.
